The point being that, by my interpretation of your logic regarding artstyle, that would mean you could not compare Appelseed movies to the Applseed OVA or Ghost in the Shell due to the fact that the Appleseed movies are CG and the OVA and Ghost in the Shell use traditional animation techniques. Maybe a better comparison would have been Appleseed movies versus Ghost in the Shell, but the point still stands. I watch plenty of anime across a number of different genres and eras (everything from stuff like Megazone 23, to Ikamusume), but this didn't strike me as being all that anime-esque (but there was a certain feeling leaning toward that, but not strongly). I like Runic's cinematics, it reminds me of early 80s anime.
